The Visible Paper Toy Experience

The Visible Paper Toy Experience

For some time now we have been developing the idea of a "Visible Paper Toy", which shows the internal anatomy of a character and at the same time can be transformed into different things, depending on the design that is reflected in the template.
For this, we set 4 goals. On the one hand, trying to create a paper toy structure that emulated what an anatomical toy would look like, showing the interior parts of the human body, or in this case, of any character that was captured in the template. Secondly, and since we tend to be quite meticulous in everything we do, technically speaking, creating a template that was in one piece, just for the pleasure of making it and not falling into templates with many parts, since at the same time end tend to confuse and hinder the assembly of the character. Third, create a toy that could adopt different positions and different shapes, depending on what you like most. And fourthly, although no less important, create joining points so that it can be assembled with another of these figures and at the same time be compatible with the primary figure of the Assembly Project. Thus, the concept that has led us to be what we are, assembly, is respected.
Technically speaking, the character has hinges, made of paper obviously, which gives it the characteristic of being able to show how it is constituted inside, and is also what allows it to be able to transform into different things and adopt other postures. Reaching this solution was a quite ambitious issue, since up to now, paper toys have not experimented with the hingeability of the material, nothing has ever been created with hinges and that offers the possibility of transformation from state A to state b.
At the moment it is still in pre-production status. But we leave you the images so you can see where we are going.
