These are some samples of the setup and results of the “skull mapping party” that we worked on together with Mauricio Soto at Centro Creativo Leñería . For this we used the I Need Your Skull template from Proyecto Ensamble, to create a giant sculpture, plus the video mapping on the skull by DMNC .
It was a good show where the flexibility of the “I Need your Skull” template is tested as a platform to project images through the mapping technique. which was made of cardboard, and through the projections made by the master of “mapping”, within the framework of the activities that took place on stage during the event on October 25, 2013.
The great difficulty that arose while assembling the sculpture was maintaining the shape of the figure at this large scale. To solve this, we decided to use internal reinforcements, so that the figure would not be deformed by the weight of the cardboard it was made of.
Below you can see images of the assembly and layout of the skull as well as the video with the final result of the Skull Party Mapping put on stage. We thank the managers of the Leñería Creative Center for having thought of us to carry out this performance.
