Paper Toys in Mar del Plata, Trimarchidg 2012
For several months we were considering the possibility of presenting Proyecto Ensamble at Trimarchidg 2012 .
We went to this graphic design congress for the first time in 2007, with Magentta. At the event we saw that interesting instances and projects were being generated with graphic design. This is why that year, with our batteries fully charged, we decided to generate projects related to design. This is where everything started to fall into place. In 2008 we generated the idea of our first paper toy that is assembled, proposed as a canvas for designers and artists. We went again to Trimarchidg, we managed to do a workshop with the extended staff and thanks to the help of Pablo Ontiveros and Mariana Maccari, we managed to get 40 assembled pieces with the help of the entire magenta bus, which we finally exhibited in an improvised exhibition that we did thanks to the approval of Seba Acampante, the organizer of Trimarchidg, and which finally turned out to be a complete success.
With that in mind, we were always left with the doubt of whether Proyecto Ensamble, as a product, would break it in Argentina.
In short, the response was really impressive: Everyone loved it and we managed to contact an authorized distributor, and we obtained a space in the most important graphic design bookstore in Argentina, La Paragrafica , this being quite an honor for us.
