In 2011 we published Series 3 Mexico of illustrated paper toys that are assembled. Also, to achieve this, we invited 9 Mexican artists to participate in the ensemble figure template, among them was the designer Mr. Mitote.
This is a very talented Mexican artist. First of all we have to mention that Heriberto Rodela alias Mr Mitote is a graphic designer, illustrator, sculptor, model maker and toy designer. We have been able to observe closely and with great pride how he has evolved in his great work, after he collaborated with us for series 3 of the Ensamble project during 2011.
Obviously his forte is the creation of artistic pieces and sculptures inspired by fauna. In which basically, the texture and color of the physiognomy of each work is enriched with the illustration of various elements of pre-Hispanic cultures, in addition to the Mexican imagination.
It should also be mentioned that his works are part of the phenomenon of art toys, collectible author figures. His work is especially recognized by the intervention of the Dunny and Munny figures of the renowned KidRobot brand.
February 7, 2020. The Kidrobot brand launched the “ Exquisite Corpse Dunny Series ” in collaboration with the Red Mutuca Studios collective, creating an otherworldly interpretation for the new version of the Dunny platform, which is attached with magnets to the height of the waist and neck, allowing the 15 pieces to be mixed. As a result of this artist's career and talent, the series includes the work of Mr. Mitote and that of other renowned Mexican artists and those from other parts of the world.
