Simbiontes .Deew: Paper Figure Mini-Series Launch (2011)

Proyecto Ensamble launched its Simbiontes mini-series of paper figures in 2011. The project brings education and creativity together through buildable paper objects in a range of shapes, colors and designs for different ages.

The Simbiontes mini-series consists of three paper figures representing different animal and plant species living in symbiosis—a relationship in which both organisms benefit. Each figure was screen-printed by .deew, a collective of artists interested in sharing and promoting this hands-on printing technique.

The launch took place at Galería Casa Encontrada. The creators of Proyecto Ensamble introduced the concept and process behind the mini-series, while members of the .deew collective presented their work. The event also included a display of life-size Ensamble figures screen-printed by .deew, alongside resin Ensamble figures customized by different designers.

Guest DJs provided the music, and attendees enjoyed refreshments and wine provided by the organizers.

Proyecto Ensamble invites creatives and future geniuses to explore their imagination and hands-on skills by creating unique, personalized paper objects. The Simbiontes mini-series demonstrates the versatility of this approach while encouraging awareness of biodiversity and cooperation between species.
