Este el primer resumen de “Live by Artists” de Proyecto Ensamble.
Chillanejo, ilustrador y actualmente también tatuador, Jko Sánchez participó en la serie “I Need your Skull” el 2014.
Egresó de diseño gráfico el 2011 pero experimenta con la ilustración desde el 2009, desarrollando su estilo que define como “vectores abstractos trabajados en el entorno digital». Finalmente recopila este material experimental en su libro “Nada”, poesía e ilustración, editado el 2013.
Mientras ejerció en Chile, trabajó 3 años como diseñador gráfico en Maui and Sons, donde los contactos logrados posteriormente se transformaron en sus clientes en diseño gráfico.
Luego durante el 2015 decide recorrer Sudamérica, en este periodo visitó estudios de tatuaje en Bolivia, Perú y Colombia, donde aprendió a tatuar. Y en su libro de viaje relata como ocurre la transición entre la ilustración digital y su trabajo actual, que refleja la influencia del arte de los tatuajes y la mitología colombiana. Se lanza con dibujos básicos y simples para pasar a creaciones más complejas que incluyen animales y temas típicos de este arte. Gracias a esto desde el 2016 hasta la fecha, se traslada a vivir a Colombia, instala el estudio de tatuajes donde trabaja junto a algunos amigos, y además aún ejerce como diseñador gráfico de manera independiente.
El consejo de Jko para la gente que esta recién empezando es que trabajen y se atrevan a seguir sus sueños ya que ustedes mismos son su único limite y ¿si no se pueden amar a ustedes mismos, como van a amar a alguien más?

This is the first summary of «Live by Artists» by Proyecto Ensamble.
Born in Chillan, one of the cities in Chile, he is an illustrator and currently also a tattoo artist, Jko Sánchez participated in the series «I Need your Skull» 2014.
He graduated in graphic design in 2011 but has experimented with illustration since 2009, developing his style that he defines as «abstract vectors working in the digital environment.» Finally, he compiles this experimental material in his book «Nada», poetry and illustration, published in 2013.
While in Chile, he worked for 3 years as a graphic designer at Maui and Sons, where all the contacts that he make there subsequently became his clients in graphic design.
Then during 2015 he decided to travel to South America. During this period he visited tattoo studios in Bolivia, Peru and Colombia, where he learned to tattoo. And in his travel book he tells about the transition between digital illustration and his current work, which reflects the influence of the art of tattoos and Colombian mythology. It is released with basic and simple drawings to move to more complex creations that include animals and typical themes of this art. Thanks to this, from 2016 to date, he moves to live in Colombia, installs the tattoo studio where he works with some friends, and also still works as a graphic designer independently.
Jko’s advice for people who are just starting is that they work and dare to follow their dreams since you are their only limit and if you can not love yourself, how will you love someone else?
