Mascot of Copa America 2015 Zincha PaperToy
When the Futbol championship Copa America showed us its new mascot in 2015. We saw they inspired in the zincha, a type of fox of latin america. According to the organization of the event, it is a culpeo fox, which “is found throughout Chile and throughout South America.
We love animals and illustration because of that we think that it was a relatively easy job to take the form of the zincha fox illustration and made it into a downloaded paper toy, because of its faceted and polygonal shape and the type of illustration. In a flash of inspiration and enthusiasm, is that we teamed up with Peruvian Paper Toy artist Kioshi Shimabuku y we get going.
The task was to create the head of the mascot in one piece were we can see the triangular form and our counterpart collaborated by designing the body template. By uniting both templates we get as a result the zincha mascot of the World Cup to accompany us while we watch the futbol game. The template is for free download, I hope you enjoy it.
