Here we are presenting the plastic work of one of the artists, who came through the Gentleman Cat call that we made during 2020.
The graphic Designer Josefina Henríquez was born in Chile and is 26 years old. She studied graphic design at the Diego Portales University and is currently also dedicated to illustration and making high-quality jewelry in polymer clay.
Below you can read what inspired the art of her two designs for Gentleman Cat.
About the art by Josefina for Gentleman cat
For the first piece, my inspiration for the Gentleman Cat was based on the meaning that felines have in Latin America. Representing them as symbols of vitality and good energy.
To reflect these concepts, I gave the Gentleman Cat the ability, the power to receive those bad energies and neutralize them and then turn them into beautiful flowers, typical of some of the countries in the region.
To begin with the creation of the second proposal for the intervention in the Gentleman Cat, I based myself mainly on the concepts provided by Proyecto Ensamble. That, courage, power, intuition and psychic powers.
These attributes or powers allow our Gentleman Cat to be able to neutralize and scare away the darkness, thus allowing us to give rise to good and new energies, leaving our environment full of vitality, illuminating our journey with its light and energy in order to achieve our self-realization.
